The Letter to the Church at Philadelphia is the 6th of seven churches to receive a message from the Lord Jesus Christ. What He sees of them is good. They are enduring, holding fast to the Word and to His name. His encouragement is that He is not only Holy and True, but the King who holds the keys to give entrance to the eternal Kingdom. He has opened a door for them, one which no one can shut. He will establish them as pillars, writing on them the name of His God, the city of God, and His own new name. Altogether, He’s demonstrating the immensity of His love by guaranteeing their Kingdom residence.
