God appoints seven angels to pour out the seven bowls of wrath upon the earth. The seventh bowl brings the final wrath upon those who are Jesus’ enemies and completes His victory. This victory is most stunning in that the Redeemed are spared through Jesus having suffered under the wrath of the Father for them on the cross. The moments of Jesus suffering and the coming suffering at the seventh bowl are strikingly similar: lightning, thunder, darkness and earthquake — no doubt another one of God’s merciful warnings to quickly turn to Him in repentance before it’s too late.
