After Satan, his system and the Antichrist are thrown into the lake of fire, Jesus sits on His white throne to judge all mankind. Books are opened as a witness of people’s sin. Those found guilty are thrown into the lake of fire, the second death. However, those whose names are written in the Lambs Book of Life do not suffer the second death in the lake of fire but are saved unto eternal life in Christ. Their debt was paid by Jesus through His love, grace and mercy demonstrated on the cross and guaranteed by His resurrection. The Judgment Seat of God is also the Mercy Seat of Jesus Christ. “Mercy” — what a word!
