Jesus was fully God and fully man, and it was the Father’s pleasure to have the fullness of deity dwell in Christ. He was pleased because Jesus was the only perfect and able person to accomplish salvation through complete obedience, even unto death on the cross.
It is through Jesus that all things in heaven and earth will be reconciled to God. Everything will be made right through God’s complete justice. Want peace with God and to be pleasing to Him? These are only possible through Jesus.
