While the Apostle John’s visit to heaven continues, no one is found in heaven or earth to open the seven seals of the scroll. No one is worthy. However, an elder directs John to look upon the Lion of Judah, for He is worthy to break the seals. Turning to look, John doesn’t see a lion. Rather, he sees a Lamb who’s been slain. It’s Jesus, and He alone stands as both the Lion of Judah and the Lamb of God. The entire heavenly court, as well as every creature in heaven, earth and sea, begin to worship Him for saving people by ransoming them with His blood. Worthy is the Lamb who was slain!
