King Hezekiah becomes sick, so sick the Lord sends Isaiah the prophet to inform him he will die. The news causes Hezekiah to respond in prayer and bitter weeping. The Lord then has Isaiah speak a word of healing over the king, and his life is extended for 15 more years. In the healing from the Lord, we find not only is Hezekiah’s body restored, but God has forgiven his sin and given him a living heart.
